National School Bus Safety Week

National School Bus Safety Week

October 19–23, 2026, Nettleton Public Schools is recognizing National School Bus Safety Week with this year’s theme: “Safe Rides, Everyday Heroes.”

National School Bus Safety Week brings together students, families, educators, transportation professionals, motorists, and communities to focus on one shared priority: keeping students safe on and around the school bus.

We’re also taking this opportunity to celebrate our Nettleton Public Schools Transportation Department and the dedicated drivers and staff who help safely transport our students to and from school each day. Their commitment, patience, and care make a difference for our students and families every day.

Remember:

• Slow down and watch for school buses.

• Follow the rules when a bus is stopped.

• Stay alert in school zones and neighborhoods.

• Remind students to use safe behaviors when getting on, riding, and getting off the bus.

Thank you to our transportation team for being everyday heroes and helping keep our Raiders safe!
